As Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru marks two years in office, former Commissioner and elder statesman, Engr. Chukwuma Nwandugo, has praised the Governor’s leadership style, describing it as bold, impactful, and transformational.
In a goodwill message jointly signed with his wife, Chief Mrs. Cynthia Nwandugo, and made available to the press, Nwandugo referred to Governor Nwifuru as “the Tallest Governor in Nigeria”—a symbolic tribute to his far-reaching achievements in governance, peacebuilding, and development across Ebonyi State.
“Glory be to God Almighty who has lifted Ebonyi State by giving us the Tallest Governor in Nigeria,” Nwandugo stated. “The mid-term report is transparent, visible, and open to the entire world, especially to the good people of Ebonyi State.”
He listed several key areas where Governor Nwifuru has distinguished himself, including legacy infrastructure, human capital development, healthcare delivery, agriculture, industrialization, security, and peace and unity among Ebonyians.
“We have the Tallest Governor in peace-making within and outside the state. We have the Tallest Governor in unifying the Ebonyi people across the board. We now sleep well because we have the Tallest Governor in Security,” he added.
Describing the Governor as “Onwa Oferekpe, Onwa Nigeria”, Engr. Nwandugo hailed his calm and focused approach to governance, noting that although Nwifuru is a man of few words, his actions speak volumes.
“You have always weathered the turbulence on the waters. You will continue to do that and soar like the eagles,” he said.
The Nwandugo family expressed confidence in Governor Nwifuru’s administration and prayed for greater wisdom, strength, and results in the remaining years of his tenure.
“This is only two years out of the eight years preserved for your sagacious leadership. Take us there,” the message concluded.
They joined millions of Ebonyians at home and in the diaspora to celebrate the Governor’s second anniversary in office and wished the First Family continued grace and success.
“Long live the Governor and First Family of Ebonyi State! Long live the people of Ebonyi State!! Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!!!”
