3 Students Shot at School 500 Meters from Wike’s Residence In Abuja

In a disturbing incident reported by SPRINGNEWS three students at Lifecamp Government Secondary School in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), were shot by unidentified individuals who reportedly entered the school premises with firearms. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, took place within the school grounds, raising concerns about the safety of students.

A reliable source, speaking to our correspondent, revealed that the shooting incident unfolded just 500 meters away from the residence of the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike. The source expressed distress over the recurring nature of gun violence at the school, describing it as a yearly routine.

According to the source, “Bad boys came to school with guns to fight; three students were shot, and police arrived late. I don’t know if you can raise awareness about this issue. This shouldn’t be happening in the heart of Abuja by small children, and nobody is doing or saying anything. It seems to be a trend every year; something deadly must happen in that school. Blood everywhere, parents crying like babies.”

Lifecamp Government Secondary School is situated directly opposite Lifecamp Police Station and approximately 500 meters from the FCT Minister’s residence. The source emphasized the urgency of addressing the ongoing violence, highlighting the proximity of law enforcement agencies and authorities to the school.

Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, confirmed the incident when contacted by SPRINGNEWS, stating, “I can confirm that there was an incident there, and the Commissioner of Police has ordered an investigation.” The confirmation underscores the seriousness with which the law enforcement is treating the situation, with an official inquiry underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting at Lifecamp Government Secondary School.
