The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released the results of candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination on Thursday, April 16, with a total of 632,788 results now available for viewing.
In an official statement issued on Friday, the Board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, advised candidates to check their results by sending “UTMERESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number registered for the examination.
The Board clarified that, at this stage, candidates can only access and view their results, noting that the option to print result slips is not yet available.
It also issued a strong warning against any attempt to manipulate or alter result messages obtained through its official channels, describing such actions as a serious criminal offence.
According to the statement, candidates are cautioned against tampering with SMS results in a bid to falsify scores or mislead others, including parents and guardians.
The Board further disclosed that enforcement actions are already underway, revealing that two candidates and one parent are currently in custody for allegedly engaging in result falsification using artificial intelligence and other electronic means. It stressed that any individual found guilty will face the full weight of the law.
JAMB reassured candidates that the examination process remains ongoing, adding that results will continue to be released in batches as they are processed.
