The Wife of the Ebonyi State Goverrnor Her Excellency Chief Mrs Mary _Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru has Commended the member representing Ebonyi North East Constituency in Ebonyi State House of Assemly Hon Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga for her unprecedented developmental strides that include human development, rural women health scheme free enrollment programme, scholarship award and empowerment of indigent women .
She made this commendation at Okpaugwu Abakaliki during Empowerment of Indigent women and the flag off of the Rural Women Health Scheme Enrollment Programme organized by the office of the member representing Ebonyi North East State Constituency in partnership with Better Health for Rural Women Children and Internally Displaced (BERWO).
The Wife of the Goverrnor who was represented by State Team Lead Dr Mrs Nkechi Echiagu highlighted the strength and influence kindness has in the continuous existence of humanity adding that it was benevolence and kindness that prompted the organizer of the event, Hon Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga to think of how best to make her constituents happy and feel loved.
She used the occsion to reveal that Her office have intesfied efforts to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates in the state which was on high note by enrolling woman and child into Ebonyi State Health Insurance Scheme.
In a speech presented by member representing Ebonyi North East Constituency in the State House of Assembly Hon Chief Mrs. Chinyere Nwogbaga pledged to continue to advocate for the welfare of the indigent and less privileged persons in her constituency and the State at large in imitation of the first family of the State.
The event which was used to empower fifty indigent women, enrollment of one hundred elderly persons and payment of one million Naira school fees for ten higher institution students across the seven political wards of Ebonyi North East State Constituency also witnessed the assemblage of Stakeholders from the area and some members of Ebonyi State House of Assembly.
Addressing the crowd, the host Chief Mrs. Chinyere Nwogbaga said she was spurred to lend the helping hand by the leadership examples of the State Governor Chief Francis Nwifuru and wife who have demonstrated unequalled passion in ameliorating the suffering of the people and in appreciation of the support of her constituents.
On behalf of members of the State Assembly, the Deputy Speaker, Ebonyi State House of Assembly Rt Hon Comrade Chinedu Onah described Chief Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga as a known vocal member of the seventh Assembly who take pleasure in assisting the needy and pledged the support of the Assembly in all her endeavours.
In a remark the Chairman of the Occasion Dr Mrs Linda Alo said the activities of Hon Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga has been monitored and discovered to reflect the expectations and yearnings of the people Dr Alo thanked Mrs Nwogbaga whom she described as limitless philanthropist.
In their remarks, the Chairman of Ebonyi Local Government Area Hon Chinedu Uburu, the Commissioner for Human Capital Development Mrs Ann Aligwe, ,Chairman UBEB Hon Mrs Patience Ogodo and the representative of EBSHIA Mrs. Juliet Offor thanked the host for leading by example and enjoined the beneficiaries especially the students to make the best use of the rare privilege.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, a widow Mrs. Ngozi Idika expressed happiness over the kind gesture of their benefactor, pledged continuous support and prayed God to enrich in health and wealth.
