The Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Hon. Comrade Chinedu Ogah, OON has commended Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for fulfilling his promises to Ebonyi people in various areas, especially in the empowerment of youths in the 171 Wards, across the 13 Local Government Areas of the State.
Ogah who described the Governor as “a prayer answered” assured him that members of the National Assembly of Ebonyi extraction will always stand by him to ensure that his administration succeeds.
Disclosing this in a statement, Ogah who is the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Reformatory Institutions pointed out that the Governor had disbursed N1m each to about 40,000 youths and N180,000 to traders in the rural areas, to enable them start up different types of businesses, so that they can become self reliant and economically empowered
He said the gesture will not only curb the menace of societal vices but also give youths a sense of belonging in his administration.
He further commended the Governor for the peace and harmony existing in various boundary lines that cuts across the State.
“Since he assumed office as the forth executive Governor of the State, there has not been any record of boundary dispute both inter or intra, because of his involvement of youths in his government.
“It is a well known fact, that the boundary between Igbegu and Iyala in Cross Rivers, the boundary between Obubura and Ofenekpe in Ikwo Local Government Area, the boundary between Ocheyim and Adadama in Cross River, the boundary between part of Ohaozara and Enugu State, the boundary between Ezza/Ezilo, boundary Effium and Benue State have been without any form of crisis, because we have a peace-loving Governor on helms of affairs.
“On behalf of my colleagues in the National Assembly, I want to affirm and assure him, that we will continue to stand by him and do whatever is necessary to make sure that there’s continuous peace in our various Constituencies.”
