Abakaliki FC to Face Akpabio Boys Dec 21

Abakaliki Football Club, fondly known as the Rice Boys, is set to play with Akpabio Boys on Saturday, December 21, 2024

The Ebonyi State Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Prince Richard Idike, confirmed the date during a courtesy visit by the newly elected executives of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ebonyi State Chapter, to his office at Ochudo Centenary City, Abakaliki.

Speaking about the match, Prince Idike expressed confidence in Abakaliki FC’s readiness to deliver a stellar performance. He described the home game as an opportunity for the team to showcase its strength and make Ebonyi State proud.

The Commissioner equally congratulated the SWAN executive led by Comrade Nwogha Ndubuisi for their peaceful election and their dedication to promoting sports development in the state.
He pledged the ministry’s readiness to partner the newly elected members of Sport Writers Association of Nigeria, (SWAN) in Ebonyi state.

In response, Comrade Nwogha Ndubuisi and the Secretary, Cosmas Egba, appreciated the state government for its support and pledged their commitment to driving sports activities forward. They urged fans to turn out in large numbers to cheer Abakaliki FC to victory.
