The member representing Abakaliki North and Chairman, House Committee on Youth Development and Sports, Hon.Dr Victor Chidi Nwoke has donated generously to the operations of the Police in Ebonyi state.
Making the donations to the Commissioner of Police at the Police Headquarters in Abakaliki, the lawmaker said that out of nothing there is still something as the chair donation is for the enhancement of their security duties.
He maintained that in as much as security is everybody business, one should not wait untill you have in abundance before making advances to any of the security agencies.
Hon Nwoke urged members of the Police Force to always be fair and just in any cases they handle as most of the suspects are victims of the environment.
The State Lawmakerequally advised the people, most especially, the Youths to always stay clear from anything that may warrant them to answer unknown questions, but rather they should engage themselves in gainfully activities to avoid youthfully restiveness and idleness.
On receipt of the donated chairs, the Commissioner of Police, Ebonyi state Command, CP Augustina Ogbodo thanked the lawmaker for the gesture adding that the donated items will help I’m documenting reported cases which will facilitate prompt attention and an accelerated prosecution.
She implored all other meaningful Ebonyians to partner with her command either by giving informations that are useful or by exposing the criminal elements in the society.
Other high ranking officers of the Police present at the presentation ceremony were DCP Anyia Dennis, DCP Mohammed Alhaji, DCP Marvellous Ikoriovbe and DCP Ukandu Joshua who is the Police Public Relations Officer of Ebonyi Command.
