APGA Condemns Herdsmen Attack in Ebonyi, Seeks Justice for Victims

The Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Ebonyi State Chapter, has strongly condemned the recent attack by suspected herdsmen in Nkaleha Community, Ishielu Local Government Area, which led to the tragic loss of lives.

In a statement issued on Sunday, February 9, 2025, by the party’s Media Director, Comrade Chris Emmanuel, APGA described the attack as barbaric, inhumane, and unacceptable. The party lamented that innocent and defenseless residents, including worshippers, were brutally murdered in their homes and places of worship.

“Our political party, the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA Ebonyi State Chapter, was thrown into a mourning mood over the wicked incident, and we want to align ourselves with the mandate issued to the security apparatus by the Governor to fish out all the perpetrators within a space of time.

“Condemning the act further, APGA cautions everyone to be security-conscious beings, especially on noticing stranger elements movement in our respective environment.

“Commiserating with the Governor of the State, Governor Ogbonnaya Nwifuru, the Executive Chairman, of Ishielu Local Government, Hon. (Mrs.) Ifeoma Agwu the immediate families of the deceased, and the entire Ebonyi State people, APGA urged all not to mourn like people without hope, believing that He that giveth has taken only that the means the deceased joined their ancestors is painful and worrisome.

The party also called on the federal government and security agencies to intensify efforts in addressing the growing insecurity across the country, warning that unchecked attacks could lead to further instability.
