The Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly Rt Hon Chief Moses Ije Odunwa has reassured of robust welfare Package for the workers of Ebonyi State House of Assembly for keeping faith with the present administration in the state under Rt Hon Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
Chief Odunwa Stated this at the legislative Complex Nkaliki Road Abakaliki during a median meeting with the Staff of the State House of Assembly.
The State Chief Lawmaker said that the administration of the Ebonyi State Governor Rt Hon Francis Nwifuru has provision that would benefit all residents of the state and place Ebonyi on the global map as one of the most beautiful states in the country through his charter of needs.
He acknowledged the present hard economic reality in the Country and enjoined them to exist to exercise patience saying it was going to last momentarily but rather continue to rely on God
The Speaker maintained that the current administration has zero tolerance for absenteeism, truancy and indulence and called on the workers to demonstrate dedication, passion and hard work as partiners in progress.
Earlier, the clerk of the House Mrs Patricia Anasi thanked God for the victory of Chief Odunwa to emerge as the Speaker saying that it was his delivery of dividends that earned him his second term in office and pledged smooth working relationship with him.
On her part, Secretary Ebonyi State House of Assembly Service Commission Mrs Ezeagu Maryrose Chinwe, Congratulated the Speaker for his present position and appealed to on behalf of the Staff of Ebonyi State House of Assembly to continue considering the welfare of workers owing to the hard economic reality in the country and pledged to support his administration to ensure that it succeeds
Adding her voice, the Chairman of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria Ebonyi State Chapter Mrs Regina Oshibe reiterated the readiness of the staff to display deligence in discharge of thier official duties and assured the workers preparedness to partner with the Speaker and Hon Members of the House to ensure quality Service delivery.
While giving vote of thanks, the HOD Finance Mr Thomas Izuinya Commended the Speaker Rt Hon Moses Ije Odunwa for demonstration of will to succeed which makes the 7th Assembly to be peaceful and prayed God to Continue to give him wisdom, vision and focus.
The meeting was graced with the presence of Hon Members, Deputy Clerks,Heads of Departments other Principal Staff and entire workers of the Assembly while a minute Silence was observed in honour of the demise of one of the Staff late Mrs Patience Nweke whose death occured last two weeks ago.
