Ebonyi Commissioner Celebrates Christmas with Less Privileged, Affirms State’s Commitment to Humanitarian Initiatives

Ebonyi State Government has re-affirmed it’s readiness to put in her best towards touching lives of the vulnerable, physically challenged, downtrodden, less privileged and the poorest of the poor in the state.

The Commissioner for Human Capital Development and Monitoring, Hon(Mrs) Ann Aligwe made the above assertion when she visited the beggers opposite St Theresa’s Catholic Church Abakaliki, to celebrate the Christmas with them.

The Hon Commissioner, while addressing them explained that the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ which we are celebrating is a season of love .

That is why she deem it necessary to come and celebrate with them .She however, prayed for them and adviced them to be loyal, steadfast and should not allow their predicament to weigh them down.

She emphasized that in all things, they should put their hope and trust in God.Hon Aligwe took advantage of the visit to eulogize the Humanitarian friendly Governor, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru , for the numerous humanitarian programmes he has put in place to alleviate the plights of Ebonyians.Highlight of the visit was the distribution of the Christmas gifts items like blankets, mats, detergents, soap, salt etc.

Other places also visited by the Hon Commissioner is the Old People’s Home, kpirikpiri and Motherless Baby Home, Onuebonyi.
