Ebonyi Govt appoints Voice Publisher, NUJ Chairman,Others to EBBC Board

Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has approved the appointment of the publisher of Voice Newspaper, Mrs. Chinwe Imo-Eze; the State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Samson Nwafor; and five others as chairman and members of the Governing Board of the Ebonyi Broadcasting Corporation (EBBC).

 

The announcement was contained in a press release issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.

 

The full list of the Ebonyi State Broadcasting Corporation (EBBC) Governing Board appointees includes:

 

1. Mr. Donatus Owo — Chairman

 

 

2. Mr. Felix Ukah — Member

 

 

3. Sunny B. Akpagu — Member

 

 

4. Mr. Samson Nwafor — Member

 

 

5. Mr. Nnamdi Akpa — Member

 

 

6. Chinwe Imo-Eze — Member

 

 

7. Engr. Emmanuel Nwuzor Oriji — Member

 

 

 

In a related development, the Governor also approved the constitution of the Ebonyi State Hospital Management Board with the following appointments:

 

1. Mrs. Monica Ogada — Chairman

 

 

2. Mr. Elias Nwibo — Member

 

 

3. Okechukwu Oko-Eze — Member

 

 

4. Celestine Nwogo — Member

 

 

5. Nnenna Nwele — Member

 

 

 

According to the statement, the newly appointed board members are scheduled to be sworn in on Monday, July 21, 2025, by 12 noon at the Conference Room, Office of the Governor, Ochoudo Centenary City, Abakaliki.

 

The appointments, according to observers, are part of the Governor’s commitment to repositioning key government institutions by engaging experienced and credible individuals to drive public service delivery in the state.
