Ebonyi Lawmaker Celebrates Daughter’s Marriage in Grand Style

 

Penultimate last Saturday, Hon Chief Abiri Godwin Abiri, the Member Representing Izzi West Constituency in Ebonyi State House of Assembly gave his daughter, Miss Judith Ekwutos in marriage to Mr Onwe Joseph Obuluse in a wedding that has became talk of the town.

The solemnization of holy matrimony was held at st.Therisa’s Catholic Cathedral Abakaliki while the reception was held at Monabliss Hotels Abakaliki.
The traditional marriage has earlier been held at Ndiechi Ezza Inyimegu Autonomous Community of Izzi Local Government Area .

The lovebirds who were clandestinely dressed met the requirements of a society wedding which should have gulped some millions of naira.

Speaking at the traditional Marriage ceremony , the Governor of Ebonyi State His Excellency Rt Hon Bldr Francis Ogbonna Erishi Nwifuru advised the married couple to exhibit the highest level the spirit of give and take in order to ensure peaceful co_existence and harmonious relationship.

The Governor encouraged the couple to always tolerate each other saying even the Identical twins sometimes disagree to agree, adding that they should
not allow third party in thier family affairs as this has been seen as the bane of many marriages.

The Governor then commended the parents of the bride for proper upbringing of thier daughter.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the occasion and Former Minister for Power and Steel, Chief Goddy Ogbaga enjoined the couple to always let the agape love be entrenched in thier lives.

Chief Ogbaga described the event as a demonstration of love and fulfillment both on the part of the couple and the parents of the bride and groom.

At the Church wedding held in St. Theresa’s Cathedral, the Cathedral Administrator Very Rev Fr. Livinus Nwekee and Rev. Jude Igwe advised the couple to always be guided by the words of God and urged the groom to take good care of his bride as the Bible called them treasure.

Also speaking, the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly Rt Hon Chief Moses Ije Odunwa
implored the couple to appreciate that thier status has changed and therefore imbibe the principles of married people.

The Chairman at the occasion and member representing Onicha West in the state House of Assembly, Hon Onu Charles Nkwoemezie implored the couple to let love lead in all their undertakings and always overlook trivial issues.

In his admonition, the father of the bride and member representing Izzi West Constituency, Hon. Chief Abiri Godwin Abiri expressed joy fir being alive to witness the day saying that his daughter has gone through the rigours of home making and the husband is a complete gentleman, who knows the responsibilities of a man.

He wished them healthy coexistence and fruitful relationship.

In appreciation, the latest couple in town, Mr and Mrs Onwe Joseph Obulose thanked the sponsor of the wedding, Prince and Mrs Ignatius Echiegu the clerk of Federal Housef of Representatives Committee on Public Petitions for their tenacity and the entire people for making the marriage a success.

 

Those who attended the ceremony include the Senator representing Ebonyi North and the Deputy Chief Whip in the National Assembly Senator Peter Onyemaechi Nwebonyi , Member Representing Ebonyi /Ohaukwu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Pastor Eze Nwachukwu Eze.
