The Chairman Ebonyi State House of Assembly Committee on Security and Braider Peace Reconciliation Hon Henry Sunday Eze has assured the people of Ebonyi State of preparedness of the state government under the tutelage of His Excellency RT Hon Bldr Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru that adequate precautions have been made to secure live and property in the state.
Reacting to the spate of attacks on police formations and people all over the country, Hon Chief Sunday Eze affirmed that the attackers are doing so as thier last strike as the superior powers of the security agents are already catching on them.
He referred to the gingatic breakthrough of the Joint Task Force in the Kaduna and Gombe States awhere large numbers of kidnappers and gunmen were neutralized adding that the attackers at Hilltop along Nwofe road have to flee on seeing the superior manpower of the security team that were dispatched there.
The House Security Committee Chairman therefore implored the general populace to continue doing thier lawful businesses but not failed in reporting suspecious movement of people or group of people to the nearest security posts or police station around them.
He thanked the Ebonyi State government under Goverrnor Nwifuru for the renewed vigour in protecting lives and property in the state and implored the people to be involved in the security arrangements of the state government as any information given shall be treated with utmost confidence.
Hon Henry Sunday Eze equally commended the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly RT Hon Chief Moses Ije Odunwa for the enabling laws passed in supporting the fight against criminality in the State.
