In his characteristic manner, the member representing Ohaozara West State Constituency in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Hon Onu Ukpai has put smiles on the faces of the people of Ogwu village with the gifts of grinding mechines to widows and motorcycles to needy persons.
It would be recalled that Hon Onu Ukpai kick started this humanitarian gesture in his Constituency during his electorial victory thanksgiving when he gifted nine villages with various items remaining five villages.
Hon Ukpai who is the Chairman of the House Committee on Markets and Parks maintained that the gesture will go round all the villages in his Constituency before the end of the month.
Speaking after the presentation of the items to the beneficiaries, Hon Onu Ukpai said that the People’s Charter of Needs Agenda of the State Goverrnor His Excellency Rt Hon Bldr Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru coupled with the solid cooperation and supports of the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly Rt Hon Chief Moses Ije Odunwa, propelled him to extend the train to his Constituency.
He Commended the leadership qualities of the state Governor and urged the people of Ebonyi South Senatorial District to vote wisely for Prof Anthony Ani in the forthcoming Senatorial election so as to complete the installation of good governance of APC in the State.
Commending the lawmaker for the gesture, the Cordinator of Ohaozara Development Center , Hon Edward Nwabueze said , Hon Onu Ukpai has practically demonstrated good representation of his people as the items doled out we’re not only of great use but equally donated to the most needy People.
The beneficiaries thanked the lawmaker for the relief he gave to them and for making them to be partakers in the good governance of the present administration and prayed that Almighty God will continue to protect and guide him in all his undertakings
