The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship Candidate for Ohaukwu Local Government Area in the forthcoming 2026 local government elections in Ebonyi State, Comrade Paul Eze, has pledged to consolidate on the achievements of the outgoing administration if elected.

Eze made the commitment while reflecting on the recently concluded party nomination exercise, which he described as peaceful and a true demonstration of internal democracy.

According to him, the process was conducted without rancour or complaints, stressing that unity and consensus prevailed among party members throughout the exercise.

“The exercise was largely peaceful. Internal democracy was felt and maintained by everybody. There was no rancour and no form of complaint. The party remains intact,” he said.

He commended the Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for providing leadership that has strengthened cohesion within the party and entrenched internal democracy across the state.

Eze noted that the consensus arrangement adopted by the party allowed several returning officials to continue for a second term, while others who had completed their tenure or secured appointments stepped aside in the overall interest of the party.

Speaking on his agenda for Ohaukwu people, the APC candidate assured that he would build on the gains recorded by the current administration, particularly in the areas of security, welfare, education and healthcare.

He expressed confidence that the people of Ohaukwu would support his vision, reiterating his commitment to delivering effective grassroots governance and improved living standards for residents of the local government area.
