The traditional ruler of Effium Autonomous Community, His Royal Highness, Ezeogo Sunday Aliba, has called on the people of his community to show uncommon commitment in order to ensure its rapid development.
The monarch made the call recetntly at the popular Effium cultural centre during the grand finale to mark his first anniversary as Ogaba Idu IV of Effium Autonomous Community.
Ezeogo Sunday Aliba expressed appreciation to the Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for the proactive steps he took in order to end the intra-comunual crisis that broke out in the community in 2021.

The traditional ruler charged the youths, women and the aged on unity, love and oneness, calling on the people to leave no stone unturned in order to sustain the peace alredy achieved in the community.
He appealed to the Ebonyi State Government, State Emergency Management Agency(SEMA), and the National Emergency Management Agency(NEMA) to come to the aide of the people in order to rebuild infrastructure, roads, schools and hospitals in the affected community.
According to him, there is an urgent need to address the humanitarian crisis facing the people of Effium as a result of the unfortunate war by providing food, medical supplies and aides to the displaced persons, orphans and widows.

He said,” this is a new beginning. We have to put on our thinking caps to ensure that the peace which we enjoy today is sustained. I am happy seeing the youths, women and aged men hale and hearty, and I strongly believe that we will work together to ensure the rapid economic recovery of our community.
“Today, I am going to inaugurate those who will serve in my cabinet, the elders council and the leaders council. I am going to collaborate with these people to ensure that our dearest community move forward. The task ahead of us is enormous, therefore all hands must be on deck to ensure that we do the needful.

“I want to appeal to the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the State Government to come to the aide of the widows, vulnerables and the aged one.
The traditional ruler used the opportunity to announce and subsequently inaugurated ninety-six persons as cabinet members, elders council and leaders council.
Speaking earlier the Chairman of the occasion, Barrister Celement Omenkannaya Odah, thanked the people of Effium Autonomous Community for coming out enmass to witness the first anniversary celebration of the coronation of Ezeogo Sunday Aliba, the Ogaba Idu IV of the community.

Odah, who was represented by Dr. Chief Omenka Nicodemus, the Special Assistant to the Ebonyi State Governor on Rural Development, called on the people to purse peace, unity and oneness. He urged the people to look inward and think towards the rapid rehabilitation of Effium Autonomous Community.
The event was well attended by the people of Effium autonomous community, people form neighboring Benue State and the traditional rulers of Nsturakpa-Izzia, Chief Ozogbu Okafor(Ekwueme 1 of Nsturakpa, who doubles as the Vice Chairman of Ohaukwu Local Government Area Traditional Rulers Council and His Royal Highness, Chief Chinedu Ogodo Christian Agbo, the Ogaba Idu III of Umuaghara Izzia.
Highlights of the event were masquerade display, cultural dance, display of culture artifacts amongst others.
