Falconets Touch Down in Dar es Salaam for AFCON 2023 Battle Against Burundi

Nigeria’s Super Falconets have touched down in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, ahead of their crucial first-leg encounter against Burundi in the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier. The match is scheduled to take place on Sunday at the Azam Sports Complex in Dar es Salaam.

FIFA decided to relocate the game to Tanzania after Burundi failed to provide a suitable playing ground for the tie. The return leg is set to be held at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja next weekend.

The winner of the two-legged clash will secure a spot in the 2024 U-20 Women’s World Cup, with Colombia slated to host the prestigious tournament. Nigeria has consistently participated in all editions of the FIFA U-20 World Cup and achieved runner-up status in 2010 and 2014.”
