The Leader of the Hausa Community in Ezzamgbo, Ebonyi State, Alhaji Spinner Yinusa, has lauded the leadership of the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru.
Alhaji Spinner, recently honored as an Ambassador of Peace and Human Capacity Building by an international organization for his exceptional kindness to the less privileged, expressed his support for Governor Nwifuru’s achievements during his first 100 days in office.
Lauding Governor Nwifuru’s remarkable performance, Alhaji Spinner highlighted how the governor’s administration has positively impacted the lives of many, emphasizing the need for unwavering support for the governor’s initiatives.
Alhaji Spinner, renowned as a donkey dealer, also urged the State government to enhance security and improve social amenities in the Donkey market, a vital contributor to the State’s revenue.
Furthermore, he commended Governor Nwifuru for his commitment to reintegrating indigenous people from the region engaged in hawking across major cities in Nigeria, including Lagos, Onitsha, and Port Harcourt. He applauded the government’s effort to provide them with human capacity training, enabling them to pursue more meaningful livelihoods.
Governor Nwifuru’s decision to address this issue was driven by the need to uplift the dignity of Ebonyi’s people, as it is often assumed that most hawkers in Nigeria originate from the State. The recent decision of the State Executive Council aims to collaborate with relevant traders and artisans to offer training and support in their chosen trades or skills, thereby enhancing their quality of life.
Alhaji Spinner Yinusa welcomed this decision, aligning it with the administration’s focus on human capacity building. He stressed the importance of proper training for success in any business venture, such as animal trading, to ensure the preservation of health.
Additionally, he urged the state government to include experienced traders and artisans alongside other political stakeholders in the committee to be inaugurated, emphasizing that their expertise would be instrumental in achieving the desired results.
Alhaji Spinner also celebrated the peaceful coexistence and strong relationship between the Hausa community and the host community, Ezzamgbo. He appealed to the state government, in collaboration with the host community, to allocate land for the construction of Hausa quarters, creating a more accommodating and relaxed environment for the community’s residents.
