IGP Shuffles Leadership: Comprehensive List of 14 AIGs and 26 CPs Redeployed

“Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, Orders Immediate Redeployment of 40 Senior Officers

In a recent directive, the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered the redeployment of 14 Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) and 26 Commissioners of Police (CPs) to various commands and formations across the country. The reshuffling aims to align with the new ranks of senior officers recently elevated.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, provided the list of AIGs and their new postings:

  1. Zone 7 Abuja – AIG Ogundele Joshua Ayodeji
  2. Zone 11 Osogbo – AIG Patrick Ogon Edung
  3. Border Patrol FHQ – AIG Badru Banji Lawal, mni
  4. Zone 8 Lokoja – AIG Bartholomew N. Onyeka
  5. DOPS FHQ – AIG Suleiman A. Yusuf, mni
  6. FCID Annex Alagbon Lagos – AIG Idowu Owohunwa
  7. Maritime Lagos – AIG Rhoda Adetutu Olofu
  8. Zone 13 Ukpo Dunukofia Awka – AIG Godwin N. Aghaulor
  9. ONSA Abuja – AIG Effiom Emmanuel Ekot
  10. CTU FHQ Abuja – AIG Anene Ndu Innocent
  11. Zone 16 Yenagoa – AIG Odama Paul Ojeka
  12. Zone 4 Makurdi – AIG Ebong E. Eyibio, mni
  13. Zone 17 Akure – AIG Adebowale Williams
  14. Investment FHQ Abuja – AIG Sahabo A. Yahaya, mni

Additionally, 26 Commissioners of Police have been posted and redeployed to various states and units. The list includes CPs George Chijioke Chuku, Ahmed Abdullahi Tijani, Dan Mamman E. Shawulu, Usman Hayatu, Danjuma Aboki, Disu Olatunji Rilwan, Joseph Eribo, Isyaku Mohammed, Mohammed Barde, Polycarp Nwonyi Emeka, Shehu Kabir Abubakar, Lawal Babatunde Ayodeji, Emmanuel Agene, Jude M. Azuka, Dan Sabo Idi, Ibitoye Rufus Olajide, Adamu Ngojin Isa, Nwanosike Wodi Okocha, Johnson Oluwole Adenola, Olanrewaju Olawale Shola, Umaru Yusuf Shelleng, Emmanuel Aina, Miller Gajere Dantawaiye, Henry Ifeanyi Uche, Vungmoh S.M. Kwaimo, and Fasuba A. Olabode.

Egbetokun urged the newly posted and redeployed officers to align with the Force policy and support the government’s agenda for economic recovery. The posting is effective immediately, according to Adejobi.”
