The acting General Manager of Ebonyi State Transport Service (EBOTRANS), Dr. Simon Idenyi has reaffirmed his commitment to serving Ebonyi state while receiving a prestigious media award from Delegate TV, Abuja, for his exceptional leadership in the transport sector.
During the award ceremony held in his Abakaliki office, Dr. Idenyi expressed his gratitude, he commended the Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his commitment to the welfare of the people and pledged to make EBOTRANS the leading public transport company in the Southeast.
“I am very happy, I didn’t know that those little things that I have been doing that people are marking it. People coming from Abuja to identify with me in this office, i’m very happy and I know it is to the glory of God and I promise to use the period I have in service to serve Ebonyi state, to seve EBOTRANS, to serve humanity generally to the glory of God,” he stated.
Dr. Idenyi acknowledging that this was his third professional award in recent times, he emphasized that the recognition serves as further motivation to elevate the state’s transport industry, in line with Governor Francis Nwifuru’s vision for progress and excellence.
The EBOTRANS General Manger highlighted the positive role the media plays as the watchdog of society, noting its contribution to reshaping the nation’s economy. He encouraged Delegate TV to continue promoting messages of unity and peace through professional and ethical journalism.
In his remarks, Delegate TV’s Operational Manager, Mr. Lawrence Donatus, praised Dr. Idenyi for his transparent and accountable leadership, urging him to sustain his efforts in driving growth in the transport sector. He also prayed for continued strength for the manager.
“We are here here to decorate you with an award, the award will remind you to do more for the people of Ebonyi and Nigeria entirely, I’m not from this state but today I am identifying with someone that our torch has flashed on in Ebonyi state.” He stated
Earlier, Senior Correspondent Mr. Augustus Oche Ifene expressed appreciation to the state government for its efforts in alleviating poverty through empowerment programs and lauded Dr. Idenyi for transforming EBOTRANS into a widely accepted transport service across the country.
