New Year 2026: NBA Abakaliki Chairman Ede Felicitates Gov Nwifuru, Wife
The Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Abakaliki Branch, Barrister Ede Samuel Ede, has extended warm New Year felicitations to the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Prince Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, and his wife, Chief Mrs. Mary-Maudline Nwifuru, as Nigerians usher in the year 2026.
Barrister Ede, in a goodwill message issued on behalf of the NBA Abakaliki Branch, expressed profound gratitude to God for the grace to witness the New Year, describing it as a rare divine privilege.
The NBA Chairman commended Governor Nwifuru’s leadership style, noting that the outgoing year recorded remarkable progress in both human and infrastructural development across Ebonyi State, driven by the Governor’s strict implementation of the Charter of People’s Needs.
He further praised the Governor for fostering peace and stability across the state, describing him as a renowned peacemaker, while offering prayers for greater peace and development in the New Year.
Barrister Ede also prayed for renewed strength, wisdom, good health, and divine guidance for Governor Nwifuru and his family, expressing confidence that by 2027, the Governor’s achievements would surpass expectations and exceed campaign promises made to the people of Ebonyi State.

“On behalf of the Nigerian Bar Association, Abakaliki Branch, I, Barrister Ede Samuel Ede, the Chairman, joyfully write to appreciate the Almighty God for giving us the rare opportunity to behold a New Year-2026.
“I therefore convey my warmest felicitations to the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Prince Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and his quintessential wife, Chief Mrs. Mary-Maudline Nwifuru on this auspicious occasion of the celebration of a brand new year, 2026.
“I want to express my gratitude to God for also giving us the grace to do exploits in the year ending which saw Your Excellency implementing vigorously and religiously the provisions of the Charter of People’s Needs, with a clear and convincing manifestation in both human and infrastructural facets of the State.
“Besides, Your Excellency has evolved a state where peace pervades every nooks and crannies. I pray that this New Year, the people of Ebonyi State shall enjoy greater peace under your watch because you are a renowned peace maker.
“As Your Excellency steps into the New Year, I pray that the Almighty God would grant you the strength to continue to pilot the affairs of the State to the greater benefit of the people of the State. May God Almighty continue to bestow you with the needed wisdom and understanding to continue your transformational agenda, and grant Your Excellency and family good health.
