Mrs. Azuka Halliday, the Assistant Comptroller General, announced the successful graduation of 55 newly recruited officers and the promotion of 52 senior officers to various positions at the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Enugu State Command. The passing out parade and decoration ceremony took place on Thursday at the Command.
Of the 55 graduates, 27 are male, and 28 are female, reflecting a diverse group of new personnel. Mrs. Halliday emphasized the importance of duty and patriotism, urging the newly recruited officers to serve their fatherland with discipline, determination, selflessness, and integrity.
Addressing the new recruits, she encouraged them to view their enlistment as a privilege and emphasized the need for them to be proactive and committed in their duties. Mrs. Halliday highlighted the exemplary performance of the promoted officers in their previous ranks, noting that their promotions were well-deserved.
She underscored the significant responsibilities entrusted to the officers, particularly in managing borders effectively and transparently. Mrs. Halliday expressed high expectations, urging both the new recruits and promoted officers to excel in their respective roles.”
