- Visit the official Nigerian Army website at recruitment.army.mil.ng and select the DSSC (Direct Short Service Commission) option from the page.
- After selecting DSSC, review the qualification criteria for the ongoing DSSC courses.
- Click on the “Apply Now” button corresponding to your qualifications and Corps of choice.
- If you are currently serving or have served in the Armed Forces of Nigeria, choose the appropriate option and proceed.
- For those without an account, click on “Sign Up” (a verification will be sent to your email) or enter login details if you already have an account.
- Fill out the application form and ensure that all required documents are uploaded. These documents include:
- Passport photograph.
- Educational certificates.
- Evidence of membership in any professional body.
- Certificate of state of origin.
- Birth certificate or age declaration.
- NIN/BVN (National Identification Number/Bank Verification Number).
- Applicants must print out their online generated photo-slip upon completing the application.
- The first page of the photo-slip is to be signed by the Registrar of any Court of Law, while the second page should be signed by the applicants’ Local Government Chairman/Secretary or any military officer of the rank of Lieutenant Colonel or equivalent from the applicant’s state of origin.
- Successful applicants will undergo a written examination at assigned examination centers. During the interview, candidates are required to present their printed application forms, including the photo-slips and other necessary documents.
