The Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa, has commended Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for fostering a smooth and people-focused governance structure that has eliminated unnecessary bureaucratic bottlenecks in the state.
In a goodwill message marking the Governor’s second anniversary in office, Speaker Odunwa, who represents Ikwo South Constituency, praised the governor for his uncommon leadership style, which he described as practical, inclusive, and results-driven.
“I, on behalf of my dear family, Honourable Members, Floor Functionaries, and the entire staff of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, felicitate with Their Excellencies — Rt. Hon. (Bldr.) Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and Chief (Mrs.) Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru, the initiator of the Better Health for Rural Women, Children, and Displaced Foundation — on this significant milestone,” he said.
Odunwa stated that right from his inauguration, Governor Nwifuru had shown signs of being a rare breed and a talented leader committed to the welfare of the people. He noted that within two years, the governor has demonstrated the capacity to fully implement the People’s Charter of Needs, the policy framework upon which his administration is built.
The Speaker particularly commended the synergy between the Executive, Legislature, and Judiciary under Nwifuru’s administration, stating that it has laid the foundation for impactful and people-oriented legislation.
“Most importantly, I salute Your Excellency’s pragmatic approach to facilitating the needed synergy among the three arms of government. This has been the bedrock upon which the Honourable House has made life-touching laws, devoid of unnecessary bureaucratic bottlenecks, as obtainable in some other states of the federation,” he said.
Speaker Odunwa reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to continue supporting the governor’s vision and working harmoniously to deliver good governance to the people of Ebonyi State.
