In a coordinated operation led by ACP Shehu Alao in collaboration with the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, the Ogun State Police Command swiftly responded to a report of a clash between two rival cult groups, Aiye and Eiye.

The clash, which tragically claimed the lives of four individuals, prompted the police to take immediate action to prevent further violence. This decisive response was detailed in a statement provided to reporters on Monday.

Upon receiving the information, the Area Commander swiftly mobilized additional personnel to the scene, ensuring that the situation did not escalate further.

As a result of their efforts, the police successfully arrested seven suspected cultists in connection with the clash. Subsequent investigations led to the recovery of a firearm, three live cartridges, and a criminal charm.

The individuals taken into custody have been identified as Asaiye Omolaja, Azeez Nofiu, Mathew Adewale, and Bolaji Ogunkemaya. Notably, Ogunkemaya was discovered in the same room as the four deceased individuals where the violent incident occurred.

It was reported that one individual, identified as Wasiu, managed to escape before authorities arrived on the scene.

During the raid, Ogunkemaya provided crucial information, revealing that their leader, known as Azubuike, aka BETTER, had been apprehended by the Area Commander two weeks prior.

The police, in a statement signed by SP Omolola Odutola, its Public Relations Officer, underscored their commitment to dismantling criminal networks and ensuring the safety and security of the community.

This successful operation serves as a testament to the proactive measures taken by the Ogun State Police Command to maintain peace and protect residents from the threats posed by rival cult groups.
