President Bola Tinubu to Attend G20 Compact with Africa Conference in Berlin

President Bola Tinubu is set to depart Abuja for Berlin, Germany, on Saturday to participate in the G20 Compact with Africa (CWA) Conference scheduled for November 20, 2023. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is hosting the conference.

This information was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.

During the conference, President Tinubu will engage with other Heads of State and Governments from CwA member countries, bilateral partners, and Heads of International Organizations. The discussions will focus on enhancing economic and business cooperation, outlining concrete measures to boost investments in critical sectors such as energy, trade, infrastructure, and new technologies.

Known for his global efforts to attract foreign direct investment to Nigeria, President Tinubu aims to further advance this mission as he leads Nigeria’s delegation to participate in the investment summit.

This visit underscores Tinubu’s commitment to diplomatic reciprocity, as it follows the Chancellor’s visit to Abuja and Lagos, Nigeria, in October 2023.

Accompanying the President on this diplomatic mission are notable figures including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar; the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, Mr. Wale Edun; the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite; and the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, as reported by SPRINGNEWS.
