Member of the Federal House of Representatives for Ikwo/Ezza-South constituency, Rt. Hon Chinedu Ogah OON, has distributed 800 bags of fertilizer to stakeholders from Ikwo and Ezza South Local Government Areas of Ebonyi State.
The distribution took place during a constituency meeting at his residence in Abakaliki, the state capital.

Addressing the crowd, Ogah announced that each member of the National Assembly had been given 800 bags of fertilizer specifically for their constituents. He emphasized that the distribution of the fertilizer was intended to complement the efforts of the Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, and the administration of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
“If I were to be greedy, I could have pocketed or sold the 800 bags of fertilizer and made almost ₦28,800,000 when sold at ₦36,000 per bag, but I want us to quench hunger and help our families,” Ogah stated.

He urged recipients to use the fertilizer judiciously to promote farming, increase productivity, and combat hunger in the state. Ogah also addressed issues from previous distributions, noting that some people had sold their shares of fertilizer and the generators that were distributed.
“The fertilizer should be utilized judiciously to encourage farming, productivity, and curtail hunger in the state; therefore, use it for the main purpose,” he emphasized.

Ogah also reminded everyone to go home early in preparation for tomorrow’s Local Government Election and to participate appropriately.
The lawmaker warned against the selling of the fertilizer, recalling how generators and motorcycles distributed during his birthday were sold at very affordable prices.

In support of transportation for the stakeholders, Ogah provided the sum of three hundred million naira.
Present at the critical stakeholders meeting were party members, state executives, party executives from the state, management committee members, supervisory councilors, candidates in the forthcoming Local Government Election, Vanguard group, support groups, and many others.
