The member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Comrade Chinedu Ogah, has disbursed over N200 million in cash, foodstuffs, and wrappers to his constituents as part of his yuletide outreach.
Ogah distributed food items, including bags of rice, indomie noodles, and other provisions, alongside wrappers and cash gifts to his constituents at his Item Amegu country home in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
While interacting with journalists, Ogah described the gesture as an annual event aimed at appreciating his constituents for their support and for electing him into office.
He assured his constituents of his commitment to their welfare and promised to attract more democratic dividends to the constituency. He revealed plans to provide farm inputs in the next farming season to address food insecurity in the area.
The federal lawmaker also commended President Bola Tinubu and Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State for their efforts in addressing the hardships facing Nigerians through various policies and programs, particularly those aimed at empowering citizens.
Ogah acknowledged Governor Nwifuru’s strides in improving the lives of Ebonyi residents and emphasized the importance of complementing these efforts through constituency development projects and other forms of assistance.
“The cash we are disbursing here is N200 million, along with bags of rice and other food items, to appreciate the people of Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency in Ebonyi State,” Ogah said.
He further stated that the cash and food items were meant to support the state government’s initiatives and ensure that no one in the community went without essential provisions during the yuletide season.
