Skit Maker and Singer, ZicSaloma, Reveals Family Opposition to Entertainer Path

Isaac Aloma, popularly known as ZicSaloma, has disclosed that his family did not endorse his decision to pursue a career in entertainment. The skit maker and singer shared that only his mother supported his ambitions, while his four brothers discouraged his interest in music during his formative years.

As the youngest son in the family, ZicSaloma recounted how his elder brothers went as far as destroying his music cassettes to discourage him from pursuing a career in music.

In an open conversation with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the artist revealed that even when he ventured into content creation, his family members remained unsupportive. Despite facing skepticism from his brothers, ZicSaloma emphasized that he has become a significant pillar for the family.

He stated, ‘It was only my mum that supported me. I remember when I was supposed to go for a competition in South Africa, I was supposed to go with two family and friends. So I took my mum, naturally, I am supposed to carry my siblings and I cannot. Because none of them have ever supported me. I went with my friends.'”
