An Ebonyi philanthropist, Chief Mrs. Uzoamaka Modesta Nwogbaga, popularly known as Talk n Do, has spent over N60 million empowering the less privileged in the state.

Chief Mrs. Nwogbaga made this known during an empowerment programme held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at her residence in Abofia, Ebonyi State.

In her remarks, Chief Mrs. Nwogbaga expressed her appreciation for Governor Francis Nwifuru’s leadership, acknowledging his focus on the welfare of the people. She affirmed that her empowerment initiative was aimed at complementing the governor’s efforts and supporting the less privileged in society.

The philanthropist donated cash gifts, wheelchairs for persons with disabilities, food items including bags of rice, cartons of noodles, and wrappers, and placed some beneficiaries on a monthly salary scheme.

Speaking at the well-attended event, the Chairman of the occasion, Chief Goddy Ogbaga, congratulated Chief Mrs. Nwogbaga for her consistent commitment to uplifting the less privileged. “Today’s event is a very special one, and we are glad to be part of it.” he said. He also urged the beneficiaries to use the cash gifts judiciously.

The Chairman of Ebonyi Local Government Area and ALGON Chairman, Prince Chinedu Uburu, also praised the initiative, urging the philanthropist not to be discouraged by critics. “Some may say you’re seeking a political position, but ignore them. We say thank you, keep doing good remembering the less privilege, God will continue to protect you because you have the mind of giving.”

Also, the State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Chief Stanley Emegha, commended the scale of the outreach. “When she told me about this plan, I didn’t expect it to be this impactful. This should be a challenge to others, especially those who are doing business with the government or holding contracts. We must all support the efforts of the governor and complement the work of the state government” he said.

Expressing their gratitude, some of the beneficiaries described the empowerment as life-changing, with many praying for God’s continued blessings upon Madam Talk n Do for her kindness.
