Tax Reform: No One Dictates Our Work - Oyedele Responds to Critics

The Chairman of the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee, Taiwo Oyedele, has declared that no individual, institution, or political authority influenced the recommendations made by his committee on tax reforms.

Speaking during an event organized by the League of Northern Democrats (LND) in Abuja, where a technical committee report on the controversial tax reform bills was presented, Oyedele emphasized the independence of his team’s work.

He explained that the committee’s proposals were the result of extensive debates, discussions, and consultations involving representatives from all geopolitical zones, more than 20 government institutions, and various interest groups, including people living with disabilities.
