President Bola Tinubu has formally communicated to the Senate his intention to present the 2024 Appropriation Bill during a joint session of the National Assembly scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, November 29, at 11 am.
The announcement was made on Tuesday, November 28, as Senate President Godswill Akpabio read President Tinubu’s letter of intent during the plenary session.
According to earlier reports by SPRINGNEWS, the Federal Executive Council meeting held on Monday had approved the 2024 Appropriation Bill, totaling N27.5 trillion. Atiku Bagudu, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, clarified that the budget was adjusted from N26 trillion to N27.5 trillion to account for changes in the foreign exchange rate.
In adherence to constitutional requirements, President Tinubu is set to present the 2024 appropriation bill before the National Assembly.
