Tragic Fire in Kano Claims Lives of Seven Family Member

A devastating fire near Tudun Wada Juma’at Mosque in Kano has resulted in the loss of seven family members, according to Alhaji Saminu Abdullah, an official of the Kano State Fire Service.

The incident, which occurred on Sunday night, affected the father, mother, and five of their children. The Kano State Fire Service received a distress call at 12:25 am from Ibrahim Sani, reporting a fire outbreak in a building at Tudun Wada Quarters.

In response to the call, firefighters were dispatched to the scene at 12:30 am. They successfully evacuated seven unconscious victims from the slightly burnt two rooms and a parlour they were occupying, rushing them to the hospital for medical attention.

Regrettably, the doctor confirmed the death of all seven victims due to the smoke they had inhaled. The investigation revealed that the fire, caused by an electric spark, was already uncontrollable when the firefighters arrived.

Alhaji Saminu Abdullah urged the public to exercise caution when handling electrical appliances and flammable materials to prevent fire incidents and other emergencies.”
