Real Madrid winger, Vinicius Jr, has admitted that he might not spend his entire career in Spain, because of a promise he made to his father.
The Brazilian is close to agreeing to a new long-term contract with the La Liga giants.
But in an interview with L’Equipe, the 23-year-old revealed he could head back to his homeland in the future.
“I think I could stay here my whole career.
“But the club of my life is Flamengo. I promised my father that I would come back one day. I have to keep this promise,” Vinicius said.
Vinicius left Flamengo as a 17-year-old after just two seasons in the first team.
He endured a difficult few seasons in Madrid before emerging as one of the leading talents of his generation.
