Next year’s general election will certainly not be business as usual as the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Ebonyi State Chapter has begun to put machineries in place for the eventual takeover of the State’s seat of power.
In a dramatic turn of events, some key members of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC have reportedly started defecting to the opposition political Party, PDP, ahead of the 2027 general election.
These myriads of defections have suddenly kick-started an unprecedented political permutation, that will obviously favour the PDP and make her a beautiful bride to behold in the State.
The 2027 Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, High Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii is the game changer, that the polity needs in order to bring about total transformation of Ebonyi State, in every nook and cranny.
Ebonyians are in dire need of human capital development, prosperous economic activities, standardisation in the operation of both Education and Health sectors, total departure from egocentric and clannish politics, and equitable distribution of the dividends of democracy to all and sundry, irrespective of tribe, cultural heritage, LGA, political affiliation and religious background.
With the influence, affluence and political capacity of Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii on the dashboard of political permutations, the PDP Governorship candidate has been able to attract stalwarts, political giants, and field Marshals from different political parties at home and abroad, to join hands and ensure his victory at the polls come 2027.
Stakeholders and indeed the generality of Ebonyi people are yearning for the actualization of his mandate in next year’s general election as he clearly stands the chance of securing the ballots needed for his victory at the polls.

Strong political warlords from the fold of the APC like Dr. Eni Uduma Chima, the PDP candidate for Afikpo/Edda Federal constituency and the former Chairman of Onicha Local Government Area, Chief Hon. Engr. Igoke Felix Ogbonna, joining the PDP family is going to be a game changer within the political arena of the State.
While the Party awaits more defectors, the camp of the Governorship candidate of the PDP, Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii has swollen with defectors from other political parties, who have chosen the PDP as their political platform for their electoral victory come 2027.
The current decampee and former Commissioner for Project Monitoring under the present administration in the State, Chief Hon. Engr. Igoke Felix Ogbonna, joined the fold of the PDP with 10,000 supporters ahead of the 2027 general election.
Ogbonna announced his defection during a PDP gathering attended by Party leaders, executives, candidates and supporters at Isu, in Onicha Local Government Area of the State, as he described his return as a homecoming to a political platform he helped to build and nurture over the years.
The House of Representatives hopeful expressed gratitude to the leadership of the PDP in Ebonyi State, especially the Party’s governorship candidate, Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, whom he described as the Party’s leader and the incoming Governor of the State.
The former Council boss boasted that his return would significantly boost PDP’s chances in the next general elections, insisting that he was not returning alone but with his thousands of loyal supporters spread across communities in Ebonyi State.
These accolades, eulogizes, and inspiring remarks about the man, ANYICHUKS, clearly expresses the fact that the PDP Governorship candidate has been tested and proven to be a reliable and dependable ally, not only to candidates or decampees but to different calibre of persons across the State.
With this current development within the political arena of the State, it is now clear that Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii”s chances of clinching power in next year’s general election is now brighter than ever.
