The Special Assistant, SA to Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi state on Media, Ebere Ania has stated that the peaceful disposition of the Governor contributed immensely to the success of last week’s Local Government Area election in the State.
She explained that the Governor being a peaceful and accommodating person, ensured that the election wasn’t rancorous or a security threat to anybody but free, fair and credible.
“The strategic formula of the Governor played an essential role in the peace witnessed during the election. He made sure that Stakeholders had a common voice, and agreement needed to help the Party pull through in the 13 LGAs of the state.
“He didn’t rest on his oasis until this feat was achieved. He needs to be commended, appreciated and extolled for his peaceful disposition. This disposition of his is not only conspicuous during elections but noticeable in boundary communities, where Ebonyi people now live in peace and harmony.”
In a chat with newsmen, the SA on Media who extolled the All Progressives Congress, APC for sweeping all the Local Government Areas of the state, expressed optimism that similar feat will be achieved by the Governor come 2027 Governorship election.
According to her, the LGA election of last week remains the most peaceful the State has ever recorded and urged Ebonyi people to keep supporting the mandate of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru against all odds.
“I want to commend the Governor for his ingenuity, political sagacity and “native ” intelligence, which made the outcome of the LGA election very impressive and recommendable.
“Next year’s gubernatorial election will not be a different ball game because the Governor is loved by Ebonyi people and he has activated the Ebonyi People’s Charter of Needs Mantra, which has been guiding him in meeting the various demands of the people of the state, irrespective of party affiliation.”
Still on the Governorship election, the SA stressed that no political Party in the state will be able to prosecute their electioneering campaigns and agenda against the Governor adding that Governor Nwifuru will still replicate his feat at the LGA polls in next year’s Governorship election.
“The Governor has done creditably well in all sectors of the economy. The political unison witnessed during the last LGA election by the APC and all stakeholders in the State is going to translate into a resounding victory for the Governor come 2027.
“The grassroot administration is with the Governor. He has affected the lives of Ebonyi people both in the State and diaspora, positively. His administration has really touched those at the grassroot level. The women and the youths are happy with his administration.”
According to her, no amount of insinuations, suppositions and destructive criticism will deter the Governor from providing democracy dividends to Ebonyi people and equally winning the 2027 Governorship election.
She added that the existing unison, oneness and togetherness in the Party will play a major role in the victory of the Governor at the polls.
She counseled contenders in the forthcoming general election to play by the rule of the game as the present administration was prepared to give an equal playing field to all candidates of the election.
“Governor Nwifuru, my boss is in charge. He has done so much to guarantee his victory at the polls. He has done so much for Ebonyi people and he is still doing so much. Let’s support our Governor come 2027 general election.”
