The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially opened the printing of examination slips for candidates registered for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).In a statement on Thursday, the board urged all candidates to visit its official website, jamb.gov.ng, and click on “2026 Slip Printing” to download and print their slips. The examination slip contains essential information, including the venue, date, and time of the examination, and is required for entry into the examination hall.  The announcement comes in the wake of a viral press release falsely claiming that the 2026 UTME had been postponed. JAMB described the notice as “malicious and fake,” advising candidates to disregard it.                    The 2026 UTME is scheduled to take place from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 25, 2026. The examination follows a mock test conducted on Saturday, March 28, which experienced technical difficulties at some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres. Of the 224,597 candidates registered for the mock, 152,586 attended across 989 centres nationwide. JAMB noted that over 20 centres were delisted due to technical inadequacies.    In addition, the board issued a stern warning to candidates regarding fraudulent claims on platforms such as WhatsApp, where some individuals are promising to inflate scores. JAMB described such offers as “false and criminal,” cautioning that any candidate found participating in such activities risks cancellation of registration or withholding of results.              Candidates are strongly encouraged to print their slips promptly and report any suspicious activity to the board to ensure a smooth examination process.
