2027: Ani emerges Accord Guber candidate, vows to tackle unemployment, insecurity
The governorship candidate of the Accord Party in Ebonyi State, Paschal Ani, has pledged to tackle unemployment, insecurity, youths empowerment and infrastructural challenges confronting the state if elected governor in the 2027 general elections.
Ani made the pledge after emerging as the party’s gubernatorial candidate through a consensus arrangement, assuring party faithfuls and residents of the State of his commitment to delivering people-oriented, well researched programs.
Describing his emergence as a collective victory, the Accord candidate said the mandate represented the hopes of Ebonyi netizens seeking positive cum smart changes in ways of piloting the affairs of Ebonyians.
“This victory is not mine alone; it’s the popular will of Ebonyians who desires a better and promising future,” he said.
Ani identified youth unemployment, economic hardship, security concerns and infrastructure deficits as some of the key challenges affecting the state and requiring urgent attention.
According to him, his administration would focus on job creation through massive entrepreneurship, and women empowerment initiatives, and strengthening agriculture through commercial farming and agro-processing industries.
“We will move beyond subsistence farming to commercial agriculture and create opportunities through skills acquisition and support for farmers and entrepreneurs,” he stated.
The governorship hopeful also promised improved infrastructure through transparent project execution and proper monitoring of government contracts and projects.
Speaking on security, Ani stressed that peace and safety remain critical to development and economic growth.
“No investor will come where there is insecurity. We will strengthen collaboration with security agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders and youths to ensure peace and security across the state,” he added.
Ani further pledged to invest in education, healthcare, electricity and industrial growth, expressing confidence that the Accord Party would offer Ebonyi people a credible alternative in the 2027 governorship election. He insisted that every Ebonyian will solely depend on God’s supreme guidance.
