The Ebonyi State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has formally notified its members, leaders, and delegates of the party’s forthcoming national convention scheduled to take place in Abuja.
In a statement issued by the State Publicity Secretary, Darlington Peter Onwe, the party described the convention as a crucial gathering aimed at strengthening internal democracy and repositioning the PDP for national leadership.
The convention, approved by the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), is slated for March 29 and 30, 2026, and will focus on the election of members of the National Working Committee (NWC) and other key organs.
The party urged all statutory delegates and stakeholders from Ebonyi State to actively participate and adhere to laid-down guidelines to ensure a successful exercise.
According to the statement, delegates are expected to complete their registration on the party’s e-registration portal and attend the convention with necessary identification, including their voter cards.
The PDP further emphasized the need for unity, discipline, and democratic conduct throughout the convention process, noting that the exercise represents a defining moment in the party’s rebuilding efforts.
The statement also assured members of proper coordination and communication regarding logistics for participation.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ebonyi State Chapter, hereby formally notifies all leaders, stakeholders, statutory delegates, and teeming members of our great Party of the forthcoming PDP National Convention scheduled to hold in Abuja.
This historic Unity Convention, approved by the Party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), is slated for: March 29th and 30th, 2026, and is convened for the critical purpose of electing members of the National Working Committee (NWC) and other statutory organs of the Party.
The Convention represents a defining moment in the ongoing process of strengthening internal democracy, consolidating party structures, and repositioning the PDP as a formidable, united, and people-oriented political platform poised to reclaim its rightful place in Nigeria’s democratic leadership.
In view of the foregoing, the Ebonyi State Chapter calls on all delegates and party faithful to:
i) Ensure that they register on the e-Registration Portal of the party and come to convention venue with the print-out and voters card;
ii) Participate actively and responsibly in all Convention processes;
iii) Uphold the principles of unity, fairness, and democratic integrity;
iv) Conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the dignity and values of the PDP.
This Convention is not merely an administrative exercise; it is a collective opportunity to renew our shared vision, reinforce cohesion across all levels, and chart a bold, progressive course for the future of our Party and our dear nation.
The State Working Committee assures all delegates of adequate coordination and communication regarding logistics and participation guidelines.
