Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Sworn In as First Female Senator for Kogi Central

Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has officially become the senator representing Kogi Central. She was sworn in as a senator, making her the first woman from Kogi State to hold this position. Senate President Godswill Akpabio instructed the senate clerk to administer the oath to her during a session on Thursday. She received her Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), confirming her election as the Senator for Kogi Central. The Court of Appeal had recently upheld her victory in the Kogi central senatorial district election.
