Nine Narrowly Escape Death along Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway

A collision between a Toyota car and a Mitsubishi bus along the Orile-Imo section of the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway puts nine lives at risk. Both vehicles were reportedly traveling at high speed when the accident occurred, causing the bus to tumble and the car to skid off the highway.
An eyewitness attributes the collision to the excessive speed of the drivers. Fortunately, there were no fatalities, but three females sustained injuries and were promptly taken to Idera Hospital in Sagamu.
When contacted, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Florence Okpe, confirmed the accident.

She blamed excessive speeding on the part of the drivers as the cause of the accident.
“I can confirm that the accident happened along the Orile-Imo section of the Abeokuta-Sagamu expressway. There was no loss of life, although nine persons were involved, six males and three females, but the three females got injured and they have been taken to the Idera Hospital in Sagamu”, she said.
