“Tragedy struck on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway this Boxing Day as a fatal auto crash claimed the lives of at least two individuals, leaving six others with varying degrees of injuries. Mrs. Florence Okpe, the spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun State, revealed the unfortunate incident involving a Toyota bus carrying eight passengers.
According to Okpe, the lone accident resulted from overspeeding, leading to the driver losing control of the vehicle. She stated, ‘The vehicle crashed on the road barrier due to speeding and loss of control.’
The injured victims were promptly transported to a hospital in Mowe, Ogun State, while the deceased individuals have been placed in the morgue. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of overspeeding on the highways.”
