The memory of 2023 year’s Christmas and New year celebration will continue to linger on for sometimes in the minds of the people of Izzi East State Constituency especially Ndiogbu Ndieze people as the Senior Special Assistant to Ebonyi State Goverrnor on Agriculture and former member who Represented Izzi East in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly Rt Hon Chief Anthony Onyibe Nwegede (Okojiokporokpo) feted them into a Christmas and an end of year party with lots of gifts.
At the venue which was Hon Anthony Nwegede”s residence at Ndiogbu Ndieze in Izzi Local Government Area,Hon Nwegede played host to widows, present and ex–ward and Local Government Executives of the APC in the area, stakeholders, People of Ndiogbu Ndieze and the entire People of Izzi East State Constituency.
Addressing the APC Ward Executives led by Chief Chukwuemeka Nwankanshi Hon Chief Anthony Nwegede admonished them to see to the peaceful co–existence of the people in thier areas and endeavour to lead by example adding that his office will further assist them through thier cooperative Societies.
He assured to continue to replicate the good works of the State Goverrnor His Excellency Rt Hon Bldr Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru in the area and equally implored the Party executives to ensure that those in position of authority abide with the APC manifestoes , which was geared towards the overall development of people.
For Hon Anthony Nwegede , the entire People of Izzi East deserve his appreciation and urged them to always abide by peace and see the Christmas and New year period as a time to meditate and give glory to God.
He further implored the people to continue to support the present member representing Izzi East State Constituency and the State Goverrnor Rt Hon Bldr Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru whom he said had a lot of good packages for them.
In thier separate speeches, the former Chairman Izzi Local Government Hon Chief Joseph Nwonumara , Mrs Augustina Nkwuda Chief David Nkwuda and Chief Vincent Nwigube Commended Hon Anthony Nwegede for his care to widows and People’ of Izzi East saying he has continued to show a good representation even when he left office.
They advised People’ to always learn to accommodate each other and appreciate the good work of others.
Also, the Chairman of APC Ward Chairmen Forum Chief Chukwuemeka Nwankanshi and Mrs Rose Nwogha extolled the leadership qualities of Hon Chief Anthony Onyibe Nwegede as SSA to State Goverrnor and former Honourable Member in Ebonyi State House of Assembly within his area.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke appreciated Hon Nwegede’s kind gesture which they said has changed thier lives.
Items worth Millions of Naira distributed includes bags of rice, over 200 Wrappers , cows and cash donations to widows, Stakeholders and entire women of Ndiogbu village.
