A Federal High Court sitting in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, has upheld the suspension of Chief Ali Odefa as the National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Chief Odefa was suspended by the Executive Committee of his Oguduokwor Ward in Onicha Local Government Area on October 4, 2024, over allegations of anti-party activities.
Delivering judgment in suit no. FHC/AI/CS/182/2024 filed by Herbert Ovuta against Chief Odefa, the presiding judge, Justice Hilary Oshomah, ruled that the suspension was valid and in line with the party’s constitution.
The court further ordered Chief Odefa to stop parading himself as the National Vice Chairman of the PDP, effectively putting an end to his leadership claims.
