Don’t call us ‘Church’: Brotherhood of Cross as Star Insists

 Nachor Isaac, Abakiliki

The Brotherhood of the Cross and Star yesterday insisted that it should not be addressed or called a church but a spiritual institution aimed at transforming man from the state of imperfect to perfection.

This can be achieved through the teaching and practicing of the true words of God.

His holiness Olumba Olumba Obu made this known on Tuesday at their temple headquarters in Abakiliki the Ebonyi state capital during a world Press conference.

Leader Olumba Olumba, who spoke through His Grace, Archbishop Emmanuel Ekuri/ the deputy spokesman of institution further called on the society to shun addressing it’s spiritual leader as a pastor but his holiness.

“I want to use this opportunity to put some records straight, one is that the society including the media should stop addressing Brotherhood of the Cross and Star as a church. We are not a church but an institution with true teaching and practicing of the words of God.

“Another is that our leader is not a pastor as been captured in some media houses. He is the holiness,”he stated.

He however, noted that the institution is presently ready for its 6th edition of leader Olumba Olumba Obu annual public lecture.

The official date will start from Monday the 23rd of December, 2024 and it is expected to end on 31. END//
