The Ada Ejieje Mba Charity Foundation that takes students empowerment scheme as it’s priority has reached out to physically challenged and undergraduate students at EBSU, UNIZIK, AE-FUNI and Uwana poly.
The foundation which is sponsored by the member representing b Ebonyi North East Constituency in Ebonyi State House of Assembly Hon Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga has been on for years.
In her speech, the State Lawmaker Hon Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga said that she ventured into the programme since when she was a local government chairman and recently due to the motivating factors from the State Governor Rt Hon Francis Ogbonnia Nwifuru, she decided to step down his trends into the hinterlands by giving scholarship to brilliant and indigent students in her constituency.
Hon Mrs Nwogbaga charged the students not to let the environment tie them down but rather they should plan well for the future through education as poverty is only a barrier but with doggedness everything is possible.
She suggested vocational job for the indigent students as this will help them citing the issue of one Mr Ugo Maxwell of Ebonyi State University who is now a professional in his Arts work notwithstanding that he is phiscally Challenged .
Hon Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga while assuring the students to remain focused and dedicated to their studies, implored the parents not to be discouraged about thier fiscal inadequacies.
Also Speaking, the leader of Ebonyi Local Government legislative Council who is the Chairman of the occasion Hon Ifeanyi Ogwuonu commended the leadership ingenuity of Hon Mrs Nwogbaga adding that the beneficiaries knew how great the lawmaker had them in mind and for this they should work and study hard to reciprocate her kind gesture.
Hon Ogwuonu urged the people of Ebonyi North East Constituency to keep supporting Hon Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga as more dividends of democracy are going to follow.
The APC Chairman in Ebonyi Local Government Area Mr Patrick Orogbo said that the lawmaker has demonstrated that investment in Education remains the best and therefore urged the people to continue supporting Hon Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga and the good governance of the State Governor Rt Hon Francis Ogbonnia Nwifuru.
In their Separate speeches, the President Emeretus of Izzo Nnodo Youth Forum Hon Mike Nwambam, a community leader Chief Paulinus Nwamini, the chairman Catholic Men Organization Abakaliki Diocese Mr Lawrence Onyema Mbam, Pastor Boniface Nwogha,Mrs Rebecca Nwokwu, President of Ozibo Development Center Undergraduate Association Comrade Kingsley Aleke and his counterpart from Echiaba Development Center Comrade Peter Oken all lauded the lawmaker for making the Constituency proud and implored the beneficiaries to spend the money well and shun social vices that may mar thier reputations.
Earlier while presenting the beneficiaries, the chairman of Ada Ejieje Mba Scholarship Scheme Comrade Ben Nwofoke said that the committee went through rigorous screening to select the beneficiaries and that the committee have the hope that the selected ones will make good use of the one hundred thousand naira received by each person.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, the phiscally Challenged Mr Ugo Maxwell and Miss Chioma Ogbaga of Ebonyi State University thanked the lawmaker for her kindness and promised to reciprocate with good educational performances.
