President Tinubu to Honor 210 Outstanding Ex-Corps Members with NYSC Award

Abuja, Nigeria –

President Bola Tinubu is set to recognize the dedication and contributions of 210 former corps members at the President’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Honours Award ceremony. These outstanding individuals served between the 2020 and 2023 service years and will be celebrated for their exemplary service.

The highly anticipated event will take place on Tuesday at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa. The announcement was made in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja by the NYSC’s Director of Media, Mr. Emeka Mgbemena.

According to Mgbemena, 200 of the awardees are ex-corps members who distinguished themselves across all four cardinal programmes of the NYSC: the Orientation Course, Primary Assignment, Community Development Service, and Winding-Up/Passing-Out.

In a heartwarming addition, the ceremony will also honour 10 ex-corps members under the NYSC Hope Alive Initiative. These individuals will be recognized for enduring various degrees of permanent disabilities while diligently serving their fatherland.

The Minister of Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande, along with the Director-General of NYSC, Brig.-Gen. Olakunle Nafiu, and the NYSC Management, are looking forward to welcoming the award beneficiaries and guests to this significant event.
