The Ndufu Amagu Development Youth Wing in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State has dismissed recent allegations leveled against the Member representing Ikwo/Ezza-South Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah, OON, describing them as baseless, unfounded, and politically motivated.
Speaking to journalists after the Wing’s monthly meeting at Ukwuachi, the ancestral home of Amagu Ikwo, Youth President Comrade Iganga Augustine praised Hon. Ogah for his exemplary leadership, integrity, and steadfast commitment to community development. He described the federal lawmaker as one of the most dedicated public servants in the constituency’s history.
In unison, members of the Youth Wing affirmed, “Anyone who rises for the downfall of another shall not succeed.”
Comrade Augustine condemned what he termed a campaign of calumny against Hon. Ogah and called on those behind the falsehoods to desist, urging reconciliation with the community’s ancestors and youth. He explained that a young man who left Item Amagu over fifteen years ago was allegedly sponsored by political opponents to circulate malicious information about the lawmaker on social media, and called for a public apology, warning that continued defamation could invoke “the wrath of the gods and ancestors.”
Reaffirming the community’s unwavering support, Augustine highlighted Hon. Ogah’s contributions to the socio-economic development of Ikwo/Ezza-South, describing them as “visible and verifiable.” He noted that elders, women, and other key political stakeholders of Ndufu Amagu strongly condemned the allegations and praised Hon. Ogah’s leadership, which has empowered numerous individuals through initiatives such as the distribution of motorcycles and other empowerment tools.
Describing Hon. Ogah as “a man of quality leadership and impeccable character,” Augustine emphasized that the lawmaker continues to promote unity, inclusion, and harmony in Amagu Ikwo, ensuring that development efforts benefit the entire community rather than a select few.
