Philanthropy is my calling, says BMFWOD founder Blessing Goodness

The Chief Executive Officer, CEO of Blessing-Micheal Foundation for Widows-Orphans and Disadvantaged Youths, BMFWOD, Mrs. Blessing Goodness Of pbiadi has stated that her Foundation has reached out to many categories of individuals, including widows, orhans, the disadvantaged among others in the State.

 

The NGO, which started about 15 years ago, has given out food items, welfare materials and other essentials of life to the people of the State.

 

Disclosing this in a statement, Mrs Ibiadi who is natural-born philanthropist said her calling in life is to meet the needs of people, irrespective of tribe, culture, colour, political party, Church membership, Local Government Area, State and County.

 

She noted that meeting the needs of people is her hobby adding that philanthropy is another way of doing the work of God, so that humanity can be blessed.

 

According to her, I enjoy putting smiles on the faces of people by meeting their needs, advocating on their behalf and giving them hope and faith no matter the situation they find themselves.

 

“Right from my childhood days, I like meeting the needs of people not minding where the person is from. With the establishment of this my NGO, the platform is now set for me to do more even from the merger resources available to me

 

“When you do good to people, you are sowing into the future and remember the Bible says “Give and it shall be given unto you. I want to be able to reach out to people in a larger scale. I want the world to be a better place than I met it”

 

The CEO of Blessing-Micheal Foundation for Widows-Orphans and Disadvantaged Youths gave the aims and objectives of her NGO to include:

 

“To provide emergency food relief and basic necessities to widows, orphans, vulnerable children, and disadvantaged person in Nigeria and abroad.

 

“To sponsor and promote access to quality education, scholarship, and vocational skills training for orphans and underprivileged youth.

 

“To advocate for the rights, dignity, and welfare of marginalized and vulnerable populations worldwide. To provide emotional, spiritual, psychosocial, and practical support to individuals and families in crisis, irrespective of location, ethnicity, gender, or religion.”

 

She explained that part of the activities lined up for the year is the visitation to the Motherless Babies Home, Home of the Elderly, Schools and Churches and outreaches to some selected families. 

 

She used the opportunity to call on well meaning Nigerians in the Country and diaspora, to support her NGO, so that she can do more by reaching out to those in the hinterlands, across the country and beyond the shore of Nigeria.

 

She thanked her husband and other well meaning Nigerians, who has been supportive of her dreams of meeting the needs of people at all levels.

 

“By the Grace of God, my NGO through the instrumentality of God will do more for the people of Ebonyi State and beyond.”
