Ebonyi @ 29: NBA Hails ‘Solid Foundation’ Under Nwifuru

The Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Abakaliki Branch, Barr. Ede Samuel Ede, has extended warm felicitations to the people of Ebonyi State as the state marks its 29th anniversary, which coincides with Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day celebration.

The congratulatory message, titled “Cheers to 29 years of solid foundation,” lauded the “visionary leadership” of the Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for his administration’s “landmark achievements.”

Barr. Ede Samuel Ede stated: “I, Barr. Ede Samuel Ede, on behalf of my wife, family, and the entire members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Abakaliki Branch, heartily felicitate with the entire people of Ebonyi State on this momentous double celebration as Ebonyi State turns 29 and Nigeria at 65.”

The NBA also extended commendations to other key state officials, including the First Lady, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs. Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Ogbonna Nwifuru, and the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Princess Patricia Obila Onyemaechi Obila, for their “dedication and service.”

Further recognized were the members of the State Executive Council, the Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa, all Lawmakers, and the State Judiciary led by the Honourable Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Elvis Ngene, for their commitment to justice.

Highlighting a focus on security and good governance, the NBA praised the Governor’s decisive actions.

“The NBA applauds His Excellency’s decisive efforts in entrenching law and order, combating corruption, and securing peace. These actions are vital to development and stability in Ebonyi,” the statement read.

Concluding the message, Barr. Ede expressed a hopeful wish for the future: “As we revel in this spirit of celebration, may our beloved State and Nation continue to progress in Justice, Equity, and Prosperity.”
